“I’m nervous about being in a room with people that are great at make up, will it matter that I don’t have any experience?”

It will not matter at all what skill level you are in your make up application, the course is designed to improve skills at every level and is self paced, and you will have Alarna at your side helping you every step of the way. Courses are relaxed, lots of fun and it’s always great to have a few laughs along the way if things go wrong! But it’s make up.. it washes off and we can start again. Just don’t be surprised if your friends start asking you to do theirs when you are finished!

“Who is the trainer?”

Alarna Bell is an International make up artist, with 27 years experience as a make up artist, and 10 years as a qualified trainer and assessor in make up artistry. She has taught over 1000 students both formally and in a Registered Training Organisation, One on One and in courses like this. Click here to see her work.

“How does it work?”

When you arrive, go to reception and they will show you to our private training room, open the door and enter make up heaven! Mirrors and comfortable chairs, plenty of space at every station to get spread out and ready to go! The course is specifically designed to learn on yourself.. how to hold your face, how to hold the brush or tools, correct placement, how to see what you are doing and where to apply etc. You will have everything you need to create every look and will get all of the products to take home to build on your new skills

“I’m a make up artist wanting some inspiration will this be beneficial for me?”

Absolutely, the make up industry is always changing with new techniques and products always evolving, to keep at the fore front of what we can offer our clients, this course will showcase what’s new and give you that post graduate training and inspiration with fresh ideas. Would be great for you to share your ideas too! So Welcome!

“Can I bring a model?”

The course is designed to learn on yourself, while you will learn techniques you can use when applying on someone one else, this is specifically aimed at self application and for that reason, no models for this course.

“Can I buy products?”

Extra lashes will be available for purchase on the day if you want to stock up, however you will be supplied more than enough to use on the day.

“What products are used?”

Modelrock, Morphe, Ardell and more!

“Does my age matter?”

If you want to learn come along! This course is great from those wanting to learn new skills at any age, however a reasonable vision capacity is needed for the fine work in this particular class, having said that magnified mirrors are supplied to all students. I trust you will have a better understanding of capabilities in tis area.

“Can I do it with my friends?”

This is a great idea, and a chance to get together for some creativity with make up and actually spend some time doing something for yourselves that is fun, builds skills and more importantly confidence in lots of way. If you do come alone, you will leave with friends… that is for sure!

“ Does gender matter?”

If you love make up and want to learn… you are welcome.

“I have my own brushes, can I bring those?”

For sure, if you want to learn with your own tools, bring them along. However the price includes the brushes and products and that can’t be adjusted, and besides it’s handy to have the same as everyone else incase I use a particular brush you don’t have. If you have them all… you can always gift it ;)

“I am allergic to a lot of make up, I’m worried I will react?”

I guess unless you know the ingredient you have an allergy to, it’s hard for me to say if you will have a reaction. However, if you feel more comfortable using your own products, bring them along to use.

“Is the booking fee refundable?”

“When is the payment due?”

“ I have bad vision when I take my glasses off, and being able to see is a problem I have, can I still join in?”

Magnified mirrors are supplied to all students so if this sounds like a solution you are more than welcome to join the class, however it is fine detail work and a reasonable capacity of vision is needed, I’ll let you decide.

“Do I get a certificate once completed?”

No… and that means NO HOMEWORK!! This is just a chance to learn with a professional at your side and lots of fun. A skills course that will give you confidence in your make up application and knowledge.
